School Health Advisory Council
Craven County Schools has a School Health Advisory Council to help plan, implement, and monitor the Healthy Active Children policy as well as other health issues as part of the coordinated school health plan.
The local School Health Advisory Council is composed of a parent representative and representatives from the community and the schools from the eight areas of a coordinated school health program.
The priorities for the 2024-2025 school year are:
1. Safe School Environment
2. Mental Health, Counseling, Social Work
3. Dangers of Tobacco/Vaping Awareness
