Oaks Road Academy spotlights Instructional Coach

On February 27, 2019 the Craven County Board of Education and Oaks Road Academy (ORA) spotlighted Mrs. Carter-Moore, an Instructional Coach for 3rd-5th grade for the work she does as she actively seeks ways to help others grow. As an instructional coach, she works closely with our teachers to provide additional support. She also works closely with Beginning Teachers to help support them in their first years of teaching. Her work doesn't end there! She is always willing to provide support to veteran teachers as well. Not only does she help them grow as professionals during planning, she also has co-taught lessons with teachers.

One of Mrs. Carter-Moore’s gifts and talents is building relationships with students.  She is eager and willing to help struggling learners grow and models this skill with others.  Additionally, Mrs. Carter-Moore is part of the ECU Masters of School Administration cohort that meets at ORA. Her participation in this program is indicative of her willingness to grow as a learner and a leader. As part of her program she organized the Oaks Road Title 1 Reading Carnival which was a fun and excited night for students, staff, and families.

Congratulations to Mrs. Carter-Moore for inspiring so many at Oaks Road Academy!
