Stakeholders Invited to Provide Feedback on the New Consolidated Middle School Serving the Havelock Community

We want your feedback graphic

As Craven County Schools prepares for the future of middle school education in the Havelock area, families, staff, and community members are being invited to help shape the identity of a new, unified middle school.

In the 2027–2028 school year, Tucker Creek Middle School and Havelock Middle School will officially merge into one school community, located on the current Tucker Creek campus. This consolidation marks an exciting new chapter, and the district is seeking public input to help define the school’s future name, mascot, and colors.

While students at both the elementary and middle school levels have already shared ideas, the Craven County Board of Education is now collecting broader community feedback to ensure the final decision reflects the voices of all stakeholders.

This is not a vote, but rather an opportunity for families, staff, and community members to provide thoughtful suggestions that will help guide the Board's decision-making process.

The survey will remain open until July 11, 2025, and feedback gathered will be shared with the Board during the July 15 Work Session.

Your voice matters, and your input will help define the identity, culture, and school spirit of a campus that will serve generations of students to come.
