Flag Waving Ceremony

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, several of our schools—including Ben D. Quinn Elementary, JT Barber Elementary, West Craven Middle, Grover C.Fields Middle,Tucker Creek Middle, Early College EAST, and West Craven High—took part in the Waving of the Flag Ceremony, a touching tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

This event, organized by Wreaths Across America, was a call to action for people across the country to come together in remembrance and to reflect on the pride, unity, and patriotism that emerged in the wake of that tragic day.

As we approach the anniversary of September 11th, we are thankful our schools participated in this meaningful event. Many more will show their respect tomorrow. This is a time for us to remember and pay tribute to those who lost their lives and to acknowledge the profound impact this day had on our nation.

We will always remember and never forget.
