On Wednesday, May 13, Craven County Schools celebrated School Nurse Day with a special reception honoring the district’s incredible school nurses and the vital role they play in supporting the health, wellness, and success of students each day.

District Lead Nurse Forsyth had the opportunity to shine a well-deserved spotlight on these dedicated healthcare professionals, recognizing their commitment, compassion, and service to schools across the district.

Superintendent Dr. Cheeseman, along with Board Chairman Kirkman and Board Member Dacey, also expressed their appreciation and recognized the tremendous impact school nurses have on students, staff, and families throughout Craven County Schools.

School nurses serve as an essential part of the school community. From caring for students’ medical needs and responding to health concerns to providing comfort, compassion, and support, they help ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Craven County Schools extends sincere appreciation to all school nurses for the difference they make every single day. Thank you for all you do to keep our schools healthy, safe, and cared for. We appreciate you today and every day.
