Craven County Schools Celebrates LOVE THE BUS WEEK

During Love the Bus Week, February 9th–13th, Craven County Schools proudly celebrated the dedicated professionals who safely transport our most precious cargo each and every day, our students.

Throughout the week, schools, riders, CCS family members, and local businesses showered our bus drivers with cards, treats, decorations, and heartfelt messages of appreciation. Seeing our drivers recognized with such genuine gratitude was both heartwarming and well deserved. Their smiling faces greet students early in the morning and ensure they return home safely each afternoon, rain or shine.

Our bus drivers are often the first school employee a child sees at the start of the day and the last one they see in the afternoon. They set the tone with patience, kindness, and consistency, playing a vital role in the daily success of our students.

While we proudly shine the spotlight on our drivers, Love the Bus Week is also a time to recognize the incredible mechanics and transportation team members who work behind the scenes. From maintaining our fleet to managing routes and ensuring safety standards are met, their expertise and dedication keep everything running smoothly.

Simply put — we keep rolling because of you.

Because of your commitment and care, thousands of Craven County students arrive at school ready to learn and return home safely to their families. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and our entire district is grateful for the essential role you play in supporting education every single day.

To our drivers, mechanics, and transportation staff: thank you for your service, your professionalism, and your unwavering commitment to our students and community.

We appreciate you — ALWAYS!
