Craven County Schools Celebrates Facilities Services Team

Craven County Schools Facilities Services recently celebrated the end of the school year with a special luncheon and awards ceremony honoring the hard work, dedication, and behind-the-scenes efforts of this incredible team.

Facilities Services employees play an important role in ensuring schools across the district remain safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming spaces for learning and teaching. Their work helps make sure classrooms, hallways, offices, and campuses are ready each day to support students, staff, families, and school communities.

While the entire Facilities Services Team was celebrated during the event, several individuals and schools were recognized for their outstanding contributions and accomplishments.

This year’s award recipients included:

Fire Safety Compliant School of the Year — Ben D. Quinn Elementary

Most Improved in Fire Safety — H.J. MacDonald Middle School

Beginning Custodian of the Year — Heather Weaver, Havelock High School

Cleanest School of the Year — Creekside Elementary

Custodian of the Year — Leonard Reels

Director’s Choice — Keith Eubanks

Facilities Technician of the Year — Tammy Miller

Craven County Schools congratulates all of this year’s award recipients and extends sincere appreciation to every member of the Facilities Services Team. Their hard work and commitment help our schools sparkle, shine, and remain comfortable places where students can learn, and staff can teach.

The district also extends appreciation to the local vendors and businesses that donated door prizes, helping make the celebration even more special and allowing staff to be showered with gifts and appreciation.
