The Board of Education has scheduled two Special Called Meetings in June:
The Craven County Board of Education has scheduled a special called meeting, a confidential panel hearing, on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the Craven County Schools Administrative Building, 3600 Trent Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss personnel matters and to consult with their attorney. Other than the opening and closing of the meeting, the meeting will be in closed session.
The Craven County Board of Education has scheduled a special called meeting on Monday, June 22nd, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the Craven County Schools Administrative Building, 3600 Trent Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
The Board will go into closed session upon opening the meeting pursuant to N.C. General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(3) and (a)(6) to consult with an attorney in order to protect the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body and to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, or condition of appointment of a public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee.
In addition, the Board may consider and deliberate on the superintendent's contract and compensation terms. Action may be taken.
