Craven County Schools is proud to congratulate Liz Witten, 5th-grade teacher at Ben D. Quinn Elementary School, on being named the 2026 NCCTM Math Teacher of the Year for Craven County Schools.
Ms. Witten was presented with this special recognition in honor of her dedication to mathematics instruction, student learning, and the continued success of her students. This recognition highlights her commitment to making math meaningful, engaging, and accessible for young learners.
As the teacher selected to represent Craven County Schools, Ms. Witten will receive a one-year membership in the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics, recognition at the State Mathematics Conference, and a special memento to honor the occasion.
Craven County Schools is extremely proud of Ms. Witten and looks forward to hearing about her experience at the conference this fall.
