AVID CONFERENCE 2024

CCS staff members from ten schools recently attended the AVID Summer Institute in Baltimore near the Inner Harbor.

AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, creates a career- and college-going culture by increasing rigor and empowering students with strategies for success.

At the conference, educators attended different Community of Practice sessions and spent strategic planning time with their Site Teams, crafting goals and planning for the upcoming school year.

This professional development offering builds capacity and enthusiasm among the staff at our AVID schools and helps with implementing AVID in the classroom.

Our staff cannot wait to get back to school to showcase what they learned!
