• In February of 2018, the Craven County School District embarked on a journey to re-envision school excellence for our students.  This work occurred over a six month period where over 50 staff, parents, and community members engaged in activities that helped develop a vision and mission that connected students educationally with their communities and established the importance of civic responsibility.  Once the vision and mission were created and communicated to all stakeholders, the board of education boldly voted to re-engage in a Systems Approach to Improvement.  Craven County School's Strategic Plan is centered around three district priorities; Optimizing Student Achievement, Effective and Efficient Operations, and Safe and Inviting Teaching and Learning Environments.  Over the course of the next three years, our district will be actively and fully implementing this work on behalf of students and staff; ensuring success for everyone!
