Welcome to 8th Grade ELA/Social Studies and AVID. My name is Della Walley and I am excited to be working with my Warcubs this year! I hope that we share the same level of excitement about the upcoming school year. This will be my third year in the teaching profession at HJ Macdonald. I am proud to be a Warcub and a member of the Craven County School family.
My passion is children and their success!! Working as a teacher allows me to help not only children but their families find financial, emotional and social capital needed to achieve their goals and dreams. The best part of my job is working in collaboration with children, families and community stakeholders.
I am a proud graduate of the UNC system holding a B.A in Political Science from NC A&T State University. I also have a Master’s in Public Administration from Rutgers University Newark and a Master of Science in Human Behavioral Studies from Capella University. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. I love reading and binge-watching my favorite shows.
