Welcome to the BES Title 1!
Meet the Title 1 Team
BES School Intervention / Instructional Coach
Thank you to our BES families for taking the time to support your child's educational needs. It is so important that families are well informed and connected to the school and classrooms. Your child will succeed when they see that you value their education. A partnership between home and school is beneficial in order to ensure that all levels of support are met and students are receiving aligned support between home and school.
What is Title 1 and what do we do for BES?
Bridgeton Elementary School receives Title I funds each year to focus efforts on improving the academic achievement of disadvantaged students. Federal dollars are used to purchase:
- materials and equipment
- plan and implement high quality student centered programs
- provide professional development to staff
- hire additional staff in order to enhance instruction and better meet the needs of all students
BES maintains a school-wide status which allows all students enrolled in the school to benefit from Title I teacher support, as needed.
The BES Title I program plays a major role in parent support and family outreach efforts. We have a parenting center located in Room 123 (across from the front office) that contains resources, many of which can be checked out by parents for use at home. Parent trainings and activities are also planned and offered throughout the year.
