I am excited to begin my 21st year of teaching and my 16th year at TPE as a Fifth grade teacher.  All of my own children have attended Trent Park Elementary and we think of the staff and students as our family.  This year I will focus specifically on Science.  In my science class we will dive into experiments, test hypotheses and write about our findings.

I LOVE teaching 5th grade because, to me, it is the BEST year of your school life (besides graduation of course).  I not only get to teach you the Standard Course of our Curriculum, but I get to walk you through one of the most exciting journeys of all time...the transition from Elementary School into Middle School.  You will grow and mature so much during this year and I love being a part of it.  The first half of the year you will be treated as an upper Elementary student, and then as the year goes by, we gradually release to you, more responsibility and higher expectations until you are completely ready to fly from the nest and join the best middle schoolers of all time, HJM.  So get ready, we are about to embark on one of the most important and memorable years of your life!
