I have always enjoyed reading and writing, so I earned a journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a master's degree in English from East Carolina University.  This is my 25th year of teaching English, and my 19th year at NBHS.  Since my son and daughter are recent college graduates, I have personal experience in preparing students for college and navigating the application process.  I love to see my students succeed after graduation!
