Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Marisa Forrest
I am beginning my 18th year at Grover C. Fields and I am excited to begin this new school year. We will be studying about North Carolina and United States history. I hope that students will share my joy about learning about the past. I really believe that by understanding the past, we can better understand that it gives us insight into why things are the way they are. "Those that do not learn from history are destined to repeat it."
I have lots of hobbies and interests. I love to read (mainly murder mysteries) and I also enjoy doing a variety of crafts. I knit, crochet, sew, paint, cross stitch and make teddy bears. I have made over 125 teddy bears for the Free Wiill Baptist Children's Home. I also have gotten "addicted" to playing Hidden City on the computer. I also have become a grandmother "Mimi" over this summer and I love spending time with my grandson, DJ. That is really the best way to spend my time.
I am looking forward to a really good year. You will need to have a locker by September 5, 2017. If you are absent you need to check the website in order to find out what you have missed. Please be sure to turn your assignments in on time. You will need to be informed about current events.
You will need a 3 ring binder, loose-leaf paper, blue/black pens and/or pencils, colored pencils and one marbled compostition book.
