Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Craven County Schools has the innovative mobile device app and website entitled, Here Comes the Bus®. 

Here Comes the Bus is free for the 2024-2025 school year, and enables you to:

  • See the location of your child’s bus both before and after school
  • Confirm that your child’s bus has arrived at the bus stop, at school or both
  • Receive a push notification* or email message when the bus is near your stop, has been substituted, or when we have important information to relay

 Here Comes the Bus is powered by Synovia Solutions™, makers of the GPS-tracking technology used by Craven County Schools to increase safety and cost savings as it relates to our school bus fleet.

Available in three languages (English, Spanish and French), the Here Comes the Bus app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

  • Your name (Parent Name)
  •  5-digit School Code- (81462 )
  • Email address used for your Here Comes the Bus account
  • Your child’s first and last name, and student ID #(can be found in the PowerSchool parent portal)
  • Description of the question

IF YOU USED THE APP IN THE PAST YEARS, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION ABOVE UNLESS YOU HAVE A CHILD THAT DID NOT ATTEND CCS LAST YEAR. SIMPLY UPDATE THE APP AND YOU SHOULD SEE THE NEW ROUTE INFORMATION BY SAT. AUGUST 24, 2024.

-school district code 

-student ID 

-parent contact information

Note:  Tracking students as they board and exit the bus is only available if the district purchased Student Ridership hardware and software.
