1. How do I get bus transportation to and from school for my child?
Fill out a transportation request form and return it to your child's school. Please specify if AM and PM transportation is needed or only AM or PM.
2. I want my child to get picked up/ dropped off at their grandparent’s home. How do I arrange this for my child?
All alternate stop requests must be in your child's attendance school district. The request will be denied if the address is not within the attendance area. Also, any students who are on reassignment will be unable to ride the bus. If you request an address to a business, daycare facility, park, etc., the request will be denied.
3. How long does it take after I request transportation before I receive my child’s bus assignment?
At the beginning of the year, it will take (at most) 10 School days to receive a bus assignment. By the beginning of October, all requests will be processed in 3 to 5 school days.
4. We moved this past year; how do I change my address to make sure my child gets the correct bus assignment?
You need to contact your child's school and give the school your updated information. The school will verify and update your address in INFINITE CAMPUS (DATABASE). Once, the information has been verified and updated in INFINITE CAMPUS the address will change in our routing system. This process could take up to 10 days before your child is assigned to a new bus.
5. How do I know where my child’s bus stop is located?
Your child's school will provide bus stop information during the beginning of the school year orientation dates. Please do not call the transportation department because they will be unable to give any route information over the phone or in person. You must contact your school for all confidential information.
6. I moved into a new neighborhood. May, I just send my child on the same bus as my neighbor when it comes?
No, all students must be registered with their school and receive an official bus assignment before they may ride the school bus.
7. My child had a bus assignment, but we moved, may I just drive my child to our old, assigned stop until we get a new assignment?
No, your child must have a new bus stop assignment.
8. My child will be spending the weekend with a classmate, may my child ride on the classmate’s bus that afternoon?
No, you need to make other plans to transport your child to the friend’s home for the weekend or any day of the week.
9. My child had a bus assignment this year, why did the bus driver tell my child they cannot ride the bus?
Bus drivers will remove students listed on their routes if the student has not ridden the bus for 10 consecutive days. Bus drivers must report all non-riders during the monthly bus route revision process. To get your student back on a bus, please fill out and return a bus request form to your school of attendance. It may take up to 3 school days for an assignment to be made.
