Employee Benefits

Craven County Schools has excellent choices in regards to benefits. We offer a variety of plans to accommodate your lifestyle needs along with supplemental benefits.

The agency which administers additional supplemental offered benefits is Pierce Group Benefits.  An open enrollment period is held each year which gives benefit eligible employees a chance to change their benefit choices. Additionally, you may request changes to your health, vision, dental, and flexible spending accounts during the annual Open Enrollment period (typically held in October), with an effective date of January 1.

Outside of the Open Enrollment period, changes to medical, dental, and flexible spending accounts are only allowed if you are experiencing a life event. Changes to benefits must be requested within 30 calendar days of the event.
