Facility Rental

The Community will have an opportunity to submit rental requests for the 2024-2025 school year beginning August 15, 2024.

Craven County Schools encourages the use of school buildings and grounds by the community for educational, recreational, civic, and cultural activities to the extent possible under the law. We believe that school facilities are an important resource in developing and sustaining lifelong learning, promoting intergovernmental cooperation, and in encouraging citizen participation in community activities.

When space is available, during times that do not interfere with Craven County Schools instructional programs, student activities, activities of school-related groups, or CCS Adult Education classes, community members may reserve school facilities on a scheduled basis.

All facility use requests are completed online. The first step needed to make an online facility use request is to create a user account.  Be sure to complete all information fields and then click the submit button. If your registration was successful, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. All CCS Facility Rentals by the community will require a copy of a Certificate of Insurance(ACORD Form). Certificates of Insurance should maintain a minimum general liability coverage of $1 million dollars and state Craven County Schools as the certificate holder with the address 3600 Trent Road, New Bern, NC 28562.  

Once the facility request is submitted online, the process is as follows:

  1. Reviewed by the site principal and, if no conflict exists, the request will be approved
  2. The request will then be forwarded electronically to the Facility Administrator for final review and approval before the event occurs.

Upon approval, you will receive a notification via email with fees associated with event usage.   Please read  Policy 5030: Community Use of Facilities for additional information.
