NC School Report Cards
Dear Valued Craven County Schools Stakeholders,
Welcome to the NC School Report Card. The data showcased here highlights how our schools and district are performing based on the 2024–2025 school performance results.
The North Carolina School Report Card displays that school performance grades are calculated using two measures:
· 80% proficiency results from state standardized tests
· 20% academic growth based on student progress over the previous year
Academic growth indicates the progress students make during a year of instruction. Schools are categorized as: Exceeded Growth Expectations, Met Growth Expectations, or Did Not Meet Growth Expectations, as measured by EVAAS, North Carolina’s statistical growth model.
School Performance Indicators vary by school level:
Elementary & Middle Schools
· ELA/Reading, Math, and Science EOG scores and growth
· NC Math I EOC scores (Middle only)
· English Learner progress
High Schools
· English II, Math I, Math III, and Biology EOC scores and growth
· English Learner progress
· Cohort graduation rate
· ACT/WorkKeys performance
· Math course rigor
Performance scores are reported on a 100-point scale and converted into letter grades:
· A: 85–100
· B: 70–84
· C: 55–69
· D: 40–54
· F: Below 40
