Accreditation

Craven County Schools was last accredited in May 2017 by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission. The accreditation period was originally a five-year term.  Craven County Schools was scheduled for an accreditation review in 2022 but due to the pandemic, it was delayed one year.  AdvancED was recently purchased by Cognia and new performance standards were introduced for use in the 2022-2023 school year and terms were extended to six years.  Consequently, in order to support the transition to new Performance Standards, all accreditation terms were extended, with Craven County Schools valid until the 2024-2025 school year.
