Mr. John Scarfpin
Mr. John Scarfpin has served Craven County as a STEM teacher since 2008. He has been teaching technology and engineering at Havelock High School since 2014. He is currently enrolled in his doctoral program at North Carolina State University studying technology and engineering education.
The classes Mr. Scarfpin teaches includes Technology Engineering and Design (TE11), Technological Design (TE12), and Engineering Design (TE13). In addition to these courses he is the National Technical Honor Society advisor, manages the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) team, and serves as the CTE department chair.
Mr. Scarfpin is married to Katie Scarfpin who also teaches Math in Craven County Schools. They have two children with one in elementary school and the other in middle school.
