My name is Art Trimble. I teach Career Management, Business and Finance courses at Havelock High School. I am also an adjunct professor at Glenville State College in West Virginia. 

I have over 30+ years experience within state government as an supervisor, teacher, advisor and administrator. Hopefully my experience with workplace behavior, career choice, and educational choices will be a benefit to you !

There is a basic formula for success in my classes: Attend class, ask questions, do your work and BEHAVE. 

I am here to help you succeed in preparing yourself for whatever career you may be interested in. 

I will place our weekly playlist for the upcoming week on this page each Friday for the following week. The playlist will have all assignments and assessment for the week listed, so that you will know what is expected of you.

We will be utilizing the Canvas platform for your weekly modules of work. When you go to Canvas, click on the box that says "Career Management" then "Modules" to complete your coursework. We have a lot of Modules to cover to help you be prepared for the State Final Exam, as well as prepare you for your role in the workplace. Please give me your best effort !

We will be utilizing Zoom for synchronous learning. The link to log-in to class will be sent to your school e-mail account. For the sake of continuity, I will send those links, and any correspondence related to our class, to your school e-mail address that utilizes your SCHOOL ID NUMBER @ example- In addition, the Zoom links are also posted in the "Announcements" link on the Canvas page.

My schedule for synchronous learning is as follows for M, T, Th, F:

1st Period- 8-8:45

2nd Period- 9- 9:45

3rd Period- Planning

4th Period- 11-11:45

Asynchronous learning is from 1-3PM and as needed.

All classes wil be presented on the Zoom platform. You must access class from your e-mail, so check it daily !

I will be avaiable by e-mail or phone (X2800) from 10-11 AM. I will also be available from 12-1 PM on those days as well for email questions or phone calls from both students and parents. Wednesday there are no scheduled classes, and I can be reached via-email on that day as well.

In addition, I will hold office hours via e-mail on Monday evenings from 7-8 PM for any class related issues.

Attendance- You are expected to log-in to your daily Zoom session on time and ready to learn ! If you cannot make class or miss for some reason, you will need to e-mail or call me with a valid reason as to why.

Grading- Week 1 will be a 20 point week. After Week 1, The coursework completion for each week is as follows-50 points for completed Module assignments, Weekly assessment (quiz, test, or project)- 100 points.
