Ms. Janivette Perez
Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Perez and I a native from Cataño, Puerto Rico, but was raised in New Bern, NC. I graduated from New Bern High School in 2012 and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2016 with a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology, and in 2020 with a Masters in Teaching Physical Education. I ran Track and Field at UNCP all four years of undergrad (2012-2016), as well as served as a graduate assistant for the Track and Field team at UNCP (2016-2018).
I began my teaching career with Havelock High School in 2019 by entering as a lateral entry teacher for Spanish. I am the Spanish 1 teacher. I also am the Head Women’s Track and Field Coach.
I’m excited and looking forward to the 20-21 school year, Virtual Learning, and Blended Instruction, as well as everyone tackling it together!
