Each student’s nine-weeks grade will consist of an average of 21-24 separate grades (2-3 grades weekly), including warm-ups and any extra credit. Students will have one quiz weekly and at least one additional grade each week, usually in the form of a classwork exercise or short writing assignment. Students will also have three major exams or project grades. Assignments will be weighted accordingly: Classwork (50%); Quizzes (30%); Tests/Projects (20%). Students will also receive a participation grade (100 points), which is a general reflection of their level of preparedness and participation in classroom discussions and activities.
