It very well may not take that long, but if you have not heard from a driving instructor by that time, please contact us. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in this matter.Cost: The course is $45.00 and must be paid prior to the start of the class. Health Screening and Vision Check: An official with the DMV will be at New Bern High School to administer eye exams on September 21st at 2:45 until 3:45. If you took a previous online class and missed the eye check, this is also for you. The eye check will take place rain or shine! The instructors can not take you on the road for the behind the wheel portion of this class until the eye exam is completed on your restricted instruction permit (RIP). If you were mailed the form, please bring the Restricted Instruction Permit with you. You must have this form with you and have all of your information filled out completely (in ink) with your instructor's signature and your parent's signature on it in order for you to get the eye check done. It also needs to be printed on one side of one sheet of paper, not two. The location of the eye exam will be at the carpool area (gym entrance) of NBHS under the covered area at the top of the steps.
